A Sunday Thought.

So, I might try a new addition to the blog called the Sunday thought. And no, I don’t plan on eliminating the Music Day Sunday posts, but I’m not going to have those every Sunday so…

Here’s my thought for today.

I have been spending a lot of time mediating on the concept of being blessed by God. Recently, I’ve actually been pretty frustrated feeling as though God had been withholding blessings from me. In all honesty, I had been feeling as though God had forgotten me, left me out of blessings as peace and such.

As I meditated on that this morning though, the Lord gave me this concept that any of His blessings are intended to demonstrate His power. It’s not necessarily about my benefit.

On the opposite side of that coin, He let me know that any time He leads me through rough times, His intention is still the same. His purpose is revealing His power and His glory. It was almost as though God was saying, “Don’t take this personally, but…”

God desires that we be satisfied, sure. He does not desire that we become complacent, though. Our satisfaction must be in Him and only Him. That is essential.
